The Volta pilot furnace - designed to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and support the transition to more sustainable flat glass production - has now completed one full year of continuous operation, marking a decisive milestone in the demonstration of hybrid melting for flat glass. Since its start-up in early 2025, the pilot has delivered stable and consistent production, providing strong technological validation of the robustness of the hybrid concept.
AGC Glass Europe, in partnership with recycling specialist Reiling, is thrilled to announce a major leap forward in automotive circularity. We have successfully proven the industrial-scale viability of recycling assembled automotive windshields back into new, high-quality automotive glass—a true "flat-to-flat" loop that sets a new standard for the industry.
We are pleased to announce that we have joined the Automotive Glass Experts (AGE) network as a new partner supplier.
